Tetra World Congress 2009: “TETRA: An Evolving Solution”

TETRA World Congress, the world’s largest TETRA conference and exhibition, was held in Munich on 26–29 May. The Congress, the year’s largest gathering of TETRA users, suppliers and developers, was a great success.

Net Technologies and EB (Elektrobit) are continuing their successful sales cooperation, Net Technologies is a Sales Representative of EB Propsim series of radio emulator products, and this cooperation has now brought a success story in Greece. Intracom Defense Electronics, Greece's largest defense electronic systems provider, relied on EB for its emulation needs and selected the EB Propsim C8 with the help of Net Technologies. Read more

Net Technologies CEO delivers the Keynote Speech
at Cyprus’ first telecommunications conference: Info-Com.Cy 2009

Cyprus’ first telecommunications conference, Info-Com.Cy 2009, was held in Nicosia on 10 June, 2009.
Over 400 participants from the Cypriot Telecommunications Industry, Cypriot public-sector enterprises and the Cypriot business community attended, along with political figures who honoured the conference with their presence.

Mr. Dimitris Androutsopoulos, the CEO of Net Technologies, was invited to open the conference’s first session as the Keynote speaker. Presenting Net Technologies’ view on “Enabling communications: key technologies of today and tomorrow”, he also spotlit the advantages and disadvantages of next-generation networks, focusing on wireless networks like LTE and WiMAX. He also mentioned Networks for Mission Critical Communications (e.g. TETRA), which are rapidly gaining in significance.

“This excellent Conference, the first of its kind in Cyprus, provided a unique opportunity to bring together the key players in the Cypriot Telecommunications Industry and to confirm the dynamism of the Cypriot economy in general and its telecom sector in particular. Net Technologies is looking forward to offering services in this dynamic environment” stated Mr. Dimitris Androutsopoulos.

The conference focused on “Telecommunications: problems, investments and challenges in a time of crisis”, and participants were brought up to date with current developments in mobile telephony, broadband networks and technological developments. They were also presented with strategic business moves that will enable the Telecommunications Industry to overcome any stumbling blocks that present themselves.

Specific topics covered included:
•    Next-generation networks and services;
•    VAS: the next revenue stream;
•    User’s experience: mobile devices and services;
•    Fixed telephony and broadband Internet: challenges, opportunities, differentiation models;
•    Distribution networks: the day after;
•    Telecommunications: problems, investments, opportunities and challenges in a time of crisis.
