Managed Services:a cost effective solution for versatile business needs

As the newly-appointed Operations and Services Manager at Net Technologies Ltd., one of my first tasks involved service packaging for versatile industries ranging from telecom operators to the transport, commercial, government, military and oil & gas sectors. Although work has only just begun, we have already progressed towards more flexible solutions to match more versatile requirements.

Net Technologies has a long history of offering services to key industry players like Nokia Siemens Networks and Motorola. Today, we are in the position to offer services ranging from Project Management to Managed Networks and Radio Frequency Planning to a multitude of industries. In essence, our new service portfolio includes Network Lifecycle Management from planning to implementation through to maintenance and customer support. 

Managed services are synonymous with less risk, lower initial investment in tools and equipment and easier project and cash-flow management. In short, managed services are a way of making business simpler and helping you concentrate on your core needs. 

We now offer a range of new packages in addition to our standard services. These include:

Managed Networks 

Managed Networks is a service designed specifically for small and medium size networks and operators who want to lower their expenditure and investments by outsourcing services when the initial network set-up investment may be too high. Having planned your network and evaluated the costs of the deployment in the initial stages, we can then operate and maintain it for you in the manner you wish. Alternatively, we can also deploy your network and leave its operation and maintenance in your hands or offer a more cost-effective solution in which network deployment, operation and maintenance are all handled by Net Technologies personnel, leaving you to enjoy the operational results.

Planning and optimization services 

Having been requested to do so by our customers, we have developed a service which enables sound decision-making, even during a network’s initial planning stages, which ensures that the different needs of future users are met. Our traditional Drive-Test and Network Optimization services have also been repackaged for our customers’ convenience. Our new Planning and Optimization package is available either as a continuous service contract with fixed monthly services, or as a project-type service for commercial and PMR networks. 

Our Fixed Monthly Planning & Optimization services offer nonstop Radio Frequency Planning, Testing and Network Optimization services in which we evaluate the needs of our customers’ users and plan their requested network deployments in the lifetime cycles they request. This not only enables increased accuracy in our customers’ internal project and cash-flow management, it also enhances the possibilities in deploying a suitable network for our customers’ growing needs. 

The added value of all our Managed Services lies in the greater flexibility and cost control they offer. Because it is an outsourced service, ramp-up times are faster, investments smaller and benefits greater. Our customers are thus able to reduce and control the risk at their end. By helping our customers concentrate on their core business, we help them grow.
